Testimonials from March 2015

Lovely, peaceful campsite
A well presented and maintained campsite with immaculate facilities AND the friendliest wardens ever. Ideal for walking and cycling the Granite Way. The Castle Inn is within walking distance and serves good ales and food. There is a bus service to Tavistock and Okehampton from the end of the lane. Will definitely be returning.

Just letting you know how much we enjoyed our two nights at this site on 22.3. and 23.3.2015.
Arrived on site without having booked and were delighted to be able to get a hard-standing disabled pitch withing a few metres of the loos.
The Wardens were extremely helpful and explained that there were problems with the new doorlock and the heater in the Disabled facilities but everything was spotless in the facilities and on site.
Many thanks for all your help and we shall hope to return. Keep up the good work – you have just the right attitude for such a job.

We were staying at Lydford Site from Monday 16th March until Tues 24th March. Everyone was so helpful and informative and the site was immaculate. Our only problem was that my husband John developed a back problem just as we were packing up to leave, but we didn’t need to worry as staff Hazel, Ian & Baz were there to help me hitch up etc. I had not towed before but all went well and we arrived home safely.  So thank you again to everyone.

We stayed at Lydford from Wed 25/3/15 for 3 nights along with our dog. We had a choice of pitches, the warden walked us round and showed us where everything was. The site was immaculate, peaceful and quiet. There are some wonderful walks very close to the site, including Lydford Gorge and a lovely pub in Lydford village with good food. Wardens were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful site. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.
