Brilliant.  This is the best site I have been to so far. The staff are so friendly and helpful and cannot do enough. On the edge of the moors with excellent views. Lydford Gorge is a must see and an excellent walk. Do not take children it’s too rocky. I would definitely come again. Thanks again

A breath of fresh air!  Just arrived home from our first visit to this site. We were pleasantly surprised to find the facilities as per the c club standard, as is the site in general, wardens very friendly, informative and helpful. As mentioned in previous posts, the Gorge is a must visit, easy walking distance from the site, be prepared for the ‘come and join us’ hard sell at the pay kiosk, by the National Trust bods. We caught the bus to Okehampton and walked the Granite Way back, a good 9 miles, a bit of plod, but a flat easy plod. Visited the Castle Inn a couple of times, lovely atmosphere, excellent food and value for money, can’t say the same for the Dartmoor Inn. Didn’t walk the moor much, weather too cold. We’re saving that for next time.
