Excellent quiet site – Phil & Sandra from North Lincolnshire (Caravan Club members for many years) have just had an excellent 8 nights on this clean and well managed site in Lydford. All the management staff were some of the most helpful people we have ever met and nothing was too much trouble. The site is very well kept and the toilet block is spotlessly clean; we would not hesitate in using the site in the future

Jackie & Cliff. We visit this site 2 to 3 times a year and find the wardens very friendly and most helpful .The facilities are great and the overall tidiness of the site is of top quality and would recommend this site to anybody wishing to have a good and perfect stay.

A great weekend  After 40 years of camping under canvas, we decided to buy a motorhome and join the Caravan Club. Via the website, we found this campsite in Lydford and decided on this for our first motorhome adventure. What a great choice! The welcome was friendly and helpful despite the fact that we arrived very late due to traffic. Never the less, we were given a choice of excellent pitches, each with an excellent view of Dartmoor. We were also given leaflets and advice on local walking as well as an opportunity to browse the used book section in the reception area. The money raised from this is used to fundraise for local projects. As recommended, the walking in Lydford Gorge was excellent. The site was really very well  cared for by staff, spotlessly clean and peaceful. We can’t recommend it enough.

Top Class.  Stayed here over Ten Tors week-end early May 2015.Excellent service and attitude from helpful staff, clean, tidy, quiet, great views….what more can i say.great meal at Castle PH short walk away.We will be back!!

Devon Delight.  I have just come back from 2 nights at the campsite staying in a camper van.  The site is clean, showers hot and all the facilities you would expect from a caravan club recommended site.  BUT it is its situation that makes it so special. You can walk to Lydford Gorge (National Trust) through the lovely village. The Gorge has a number of walks following the river with waterfalls and bridges. Also a delightful tea room!  The owners of the camp site were particularly friendly and recommended the local pub which was a 5 minutes walk. The Castle inn served excellent food and allowed us to bring in our dogs.  A nice sized campsite in lovely surroundings.

We camped here during Easter. The staff were wonderful as were the facilities and after long days hiking we needed a hot shower. Bathrooms were clean and functional. Love that there is a mop left out to clean up after yourself . The camping field was lovely and peaceful and only a short walk from the bathrooms. Very close to everywhere we wanted to visit and the views of the moors were lovely. We will definitely return.
