Lydford Caravan & Camping Park is a private site affiliated to the Caravan Club. We welcome caravans, motorhomes, folding campers (max shipping length 8.5m) and tents. We offer hard standing or grass pitches with electric hook up plus a separate area for tents offering wonderful panoramic views of Dartmoor. There are also toilet and shower facilities with dedicated dishwashing, laundry, and a disabled toilet/shower wet room. Our small on site shop stocks daily essentials, newspapers to order, and a range of camping items. We are also licensed to sell beers, wines and spirits for consumption off the premises.
Lydford has much of interest to offer, all within a short walk from the site. The spectacular National Trust Lydford Gorge is a 3.5 mile (5km) circular walk in the deepest gorge within the south of England. There is a 2 hourly bus service to Tavistock in the south and Okehampton in the north and beyond, which stops just 100m from the site entrance. Lydford Castle, a 9th- century former prison and the ancient St Petroc’s Church are well worth a visit.
Why Choose Lydford?
Set within the Dartmoor National Park in the historic village of Lydford. We invite you to visit this beautiful area.
The village is steeped in history and is very pretty. The Granite Way cycle route runs near the site, offering a fairly level 9 mile track to Okehampton .
