Best site visited so far! Spent two nights at this site and the management could not have been more helpful from showing is maps of local walks and rides to loaning a hookup cable when ours was too short. The shower facilities were exceptional. A great touch was a stool in the cubicle to keep things off the floor and plenty of hangers for towels and clothes plus a hair dryer only 20p usage. Hot water. Loved the wash cubicles too that allowed privacy. Views were stunning and two excellent good pubs in walking distance. We cycled to Tavistock and walked round the Gorge. Will be back to cycle to Okehampton.
12th- 22nd June 2014 The most hardworking and helpful wardens we have met at any caravan site! They deserve a medal. A lovely site and perfect weather. Excellent holiday.
First visit this year and despite the change of Managers just as good as ever. Ian and Hazel have added their own little touches and there is work in progress to improve the facilities. Cycle Network Route 27 is now traffic free for a 10 mile cycle into Okehampton with plenty of picnic stops, Tavistock’s Farmer’s Market never fails to impress and there are plenty of National Trust properties within easy reach….or you could just sit and enjoy this peaceful site. Added bonus this year is the new Farm Shop just on outskirts of the village…. a mile from the site. Have already booked our next visit.
This site is peaceful,well maintained and the wardens are very helpful and welcoming. We have just spent 10 days here and apart from a lack of sunshine and maybe the pitch could do with being a little wider this site is a hidden gem, We will be back…
